Memorial Day Remembrance

The nation pauses on Memorial Day to honor Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

The largest remembrance ceremony in Minnesota will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Memorial events at Fort Snelling began on Saturday, but will continue today with a parade at 9:30 a.m., followed by a program at 10 a.m. with music and speeches from special guests, including U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Gov. Mark Dayton. Other ceremonies will be held at parks, veterans homes and cemeteries across the state.
