Teardrops And Wings

Recently a dear friend stopped by to visit.  We have been friends since we were in our teens.  During the years we have experienced many joys and trials together.  She placed a gift bag along side of me.  Nestled between sheets of paper tissue I found an intricate sculpture with a beautiful, purple design in the center of the glass.  This lovely art piece was in the form of a teardrop.

She looked at me with tears in her eyes and wanted me to know that every time I cry in pain others are crying with me.  Silence then filled the room with feelings of mutual respect and love for each other.  What a comfort to know that others care so deeply to feel your pain.

I have looked at the delicate teardrop many times since that day while bedridden. Each time I imagine the warmth of others love … enveloping me. Another friend sent me a homemade necklace with angel wings attached on the heart pendant.  It makes me feel less alone to remember that angels are always near by.  What compassionate gifts from caring, treasured friends.

My teardrop sculpture

Life is mixture of sunshine and rain, teardrops and laughter, pleasure and pain …

We all face trials and when we go through them let us remind ourselves that we have wings to fly to a brighter place by believing in the hope of a new tomorrow!

Today I wish that sunshine rays of laughter will brighten your day and fill you with warmth!

 Until more Sweet Conclusions,

Rosie
