Charm Your Halloween Guests

Be creative and make something special for your Halloween guests this year!

Make cupcakes in any flavor, frost each cupcake with chocolate frosting. Cover the cupcake with chocolate sprinkles; be generous to give the impression of fur.

**For eyes, cut a 1/8-inch-thick slice from the large end of two yellow gumdrops. Stick a short piece of shoestring licorice to the cut side of each slice to act as the cat’s pupil. Press the eyes into the frosted cupcake.

**For ears cut chocolate candy into triangles. Insert ears into frosting on cupcake.

**For whiskers, cut shoestring licorice into 2 inch lengths and arrange on cupcake. Use a chocolate chip for a cute nose.

***  For a more nutritious treat take cheese and make into creative shapes

place on top of meat or crackers ***

***  Make a cheese ball and decorate with chips, olives and a pickle stem  to look like a pumpkin ***

When it is chilly temps a piping hot cup of hot cocoa or apple cider is always refreshing here is a new recipe a friend shared with me for grown-ups :)

Hot Caramel Apple Cider

4 mug’s worth of Apple Cider
1 mug’s worth of Caramel Vodka
1 tablespoon Cinnamon
1/4 cup Brown Sugar

1. Mix all of the ingredients except alcohol in a large pot.
2. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until liquid just begins to steam.  Remove from heat and add alcohol.
3. While cider is warming up, take your mugs or glasses and rim them with brown sugar.
4. Pour cider into your rimmed glasses, serve and enjoy!

 Enjoy your Halloween parties!

  1. The cider one sounds really good Rosie. I hope to try it one day. Does your friend have any other recipes for delicious beverages like this to share? I bet this would be good with a pumpkin cake. :-)

    • It does sounds incredible, Mike! My son is very excited about finding the caramel flavoring and wants to try it this week!

I will have to try to find more beverage recipes!

I agree that drink with pumpkin cake would make my taste buds burst forth with autumn delight!

Thank you for your reply and following along with Sweet Conclusions. :)
