As 2012 comes to an end I cannot help but think that endings are little more than new beginnings. It’s the perfect time to look back over those New Year’s resolutions from last year and to consider trying again real soon. Maybe you have already succeeded and are now looking for new goals for the year to come. Whatever your New Year’s resolutions, I hope you accomplish them. My New Year’s resolution is the same as last years New Year’s resolution. My New Year’s resolution is to never again make another New Year’s resolution.
I’m not so sure New Year’s resolutions are all that important. I set small goals everyday, not just for the New Year. It’s a nice thought though and in all fairness, I probably stopped setting them because I couldn’t keep one.
2012 has been a wonderful year for me. Apart from the fact I have travelled to America, met so many wonderful people and been to so many equally wonderful places, I also saw my theater production, William Gray & the Family Next Door performed on stage in America. I published a new book, The Watchman, seen Sweet Conclusions expand with a book, Reflections Upon the Waters of Life and been given the opportunity to write here. I have also been given the possibility to see another year pass.
As a child I was very sick and wasn’t expected to live that long. I have been lucky. I have seen forty-five of them now and I am hoping to see many more.
So as 2012 comes to an end and 2013 opens up in all its glory, I would like to wish you all a wonderful year to come. May all your New Year’s resolutions become your personal success stories and may all your dreams come true!
Here’s to you. Happy New Year!
