THE ANGEL CANDLE or THE CANDLE OF LOVE
The angels announced the good news of a Savior. God sent his only Son to earth to save us, because he loves us!
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

Because of Christmas day
At our Christmas Eve service, the congregation holds lit white candles in the darkness of the sanctuary. It is amazing beauty as we sing the wondrous hymn, “Silent Night, Holy Night.” The feelings that over power and impact my heart during this song, while holding my lit candle, stay with me throughout the year. The lyrics are amazing. The powerful message of heavenly peace crosses all borders and language barriers, conquering the hearts of people everywhere from small chapels in America to great cathedrals in Rome to the village church in Austria where this song was first song in 1818.
After having been so graciously given a glimpse of the bright lights of heaven, when I was so ill, I long for the day to sit by the side of the Son of God, love’s pure light. Feeling the peaceful radiant beams from His holy face with the dawn of redeeming grace.
Let us not forget …. Love was born on Christmas day!
